Marguerite graduated from Mauston High School and graduated from Juneau County Normal School in 1949. She taught in Mauston, Union Center and Dellona Schools. After raising her family she went back to school. She taught in the special education department in the Reedsburg School District for 23 years. In 1982 she was honored by the State Department of Public Instruction as a Reedsburg Teacher of the Year. She retired in 1990. Marguerite was very involved in the local Special Olympics.
