The South Central Irish Honorees 2010 - Irishman Richard Fish and Irish Rose Luane Sheahan Krohn Were Feted March 20 at the Voyageur Inn, Reedsburg

St. Patrick's Party March 20

The South Central Shamrock Club's St. Patrick's Day Party was held on March 20th at Reedsburg's Voyageur Inn. The 2010 Irish Rose, Luanne Krohn and Irishman of the Year, Richard Fish, were honored. Irish Eyes were Smiling on them throughout the evening. The party was well attended. We wish to thank all who participated to make the evening successful.

The party featured an Irish singalong by Ann and John Schmitt; Irish dancing by Kate Johnson, and The Pints, from Madison.

We had a full Irish dinner of corn beefed and cabbage, chicken breast, and more. The night was emceed by Jack Gavin. South Central president John Delmore Hosted the events.

Raffle

We held our raffle drawing for our scholarship raffle. The raffle ticket winners were:

  • 1st Prize-Scott Anderson: Gurnee, IL - TRIP FOR TWO TO IRELAND
  • 2nd Prize - Kate Horkan - Reedsburg, WI: Overnight Stay at County Clare, Milwaukee or St. Brendan's Inn,Green Bay or The Irish Cottage in Galena, IL
  • 3rd Prize - Larry Sheahan, Madison, WI: Golf Package Reedsburg or Baraboo Country Clubs
All proceeds go to benefit the Marguerite I. Murray Scholarship Fund.

Condolences

Our sympathy goes out to Corky Powers whose husband, and our member, E. Thomas Powers passed away recently.
